This was my first baby shower cake! I was going through some of my old files and found this little guy. Along with this cake I also made two dozen yellow and blue cupcakes for all the guests. Yum!

This cake was created for a baby shower. Knowing that her nursery is "Where the Wild things Are" themed, I made the cake inspired by the main character. It's a chocolate cake, with vanilla butter cream frosting. The claws on the bottom and the horns are made with fondant. I used a spatula for much of the decorating, to keep the childlike essence of the book, and translate it into a cake.

These are S'mores cupcakes, which I created for my boss' last day at work. The cupcake is a graham cracker cupcake, with chocolate ganache, then a marshmallow frosting. I garnished them with crumbled graham cracker, mini chocolate chips and mini marshmallows. The marshmallows and mini chips were a request from my boss, but if done again, I would just garnish them with the crumbled graham cracker and shaved chocolate for a cleaner look.
